PARKING: You are welcome to park in the gravel area directly in front of the cottage by the mailbox, or along the street.
If you bring bikes, feel free to store them inside the gated area.
If renting a golf cart, please contact us so we can review parking arrangements.
NO SMOKING: No smoking or vaping anywhere inside the property. Dispose of cigarette butts in the designated container outside.
OCEAN/BEACH ACCESS: The main beach access is Coast Guard Beach. (1.7mi). Another favorite area is Gould’s Beach. (2.4mi)
GARBAGE: Empty the sealed kitchen trash bags in the green bin next to the driveway. Do not store garbage on porches. The wildlife will find it! Recycle plastic, paper and aluminum in the blue recycle bin also next to the driveway.
PATIO: Enjoy the patio area outside of the French doors near your bedroom.

The island has over 30 miles of dedicated bike paths and trails (including multi-use paths along major roads), letting you cruise under live oaks, spot tree spirits, and easily reach beaches, the lighthouse, Pier Village shops/restaurants, and more. Rentals (including e-bikes) are widely available from places like Pedego Electric Bikes, Seaside Bikes & Carts, or others, often with free delivery/pickup. It's flat, enjoyable, and perfect for avoiding parking hassles.
Walking — Ideal for the downtown/Pier Village area (Mallery Street, Neptune Park, the St. Simons Lighthouse, and nearby beaches). It's a charming, low-key way to soak in the Southern atmosphere, especially for shorter distances.
Golf Cart Rentals — A super fun, island-classic choice for groups or families wanting to cover more ground without a full car. Rentals (4-6 seaters, gas or electric) are popular from spots like Island Carts or Seaside Bikes & Carts. They're great for hopping between East Beach, the village, and sights—but note restrictions: they follow traffic laws, can't go on sidewalks/bike paths/beaches, and are limited on some roads/highways (check maps from Glynn County for allowed areas). Many love the open-air, breezy feel.
Trolley Tours — For a narrated, hassle-free overview, hop on a guided trolley tour (like St. Simons Trolley Tours or Lighthouse Trolley Tours). These are highly rated for history, sights, and convenience—some offer on-off options. Great if you want to learn about the island without driving or pedaling yourself. Tours often start near the Pier.
